The cargo comprised rectangular cartons palletized directly on the container floor, arranged in two rows across and stacked two tiers high. Upon inspection, the cartons were found to be extensively damaged and significantly deformed. An attempt was made to remove the outermost carton at the door end using a forklift to open the packaging and conduct a careful examination of the solar modules. However, due to the severity of the impact, the cartons had been compressed and forced inward, preventing complete devanning of the outermost carton.

They unpacked the covering of the outermost package to the extent possible and carefully visually inspected the solar modules. All the modules that were inspected were noted to have their front glass broken/shattered in several areas each. The front glass is a durable, transparent glass layer that protects the solar cells from environmental damage (rain, hail, dust) while allowing maximum light transmission.

The aluminum frames around the panel, which add structural strength and allow the panel to be mounted securely, were also found to be dented and cracked in several locations.
