| Condition Description | : | Per Survey Findings on August 14, 2026: Upon inspection, the frozen shrimp lot was found to be in compromised condition. Core temperature readings ranged from +10.2°F to +15.8°F, indicating potential temperature abuse. The cartons were observed to be generally wet-stained and/or sticking together, which is consistent with thawing and refreezing . While all shrimp remained hard frozen in blocks, the following quality defects were noted in the sampled units: Odor: A distinct off/fishy odor was detected. Frost/Ice Crystallization: Heavy frost and ice crystallization were observed inside the bags containing the shrimp, suggesting prolonged or improper storage. The lot is offered for salvage recovery in its current "as-is, where-is" condition. |
