Item Description
This lot of Albacore Chunk Tuna in Water 24/142g is offered for sale in order to recover funds from loss.
Product: Packed Albacore Chunk Tuna in Water 24/142g
Species: CWW is Albacore.
Size/ Gross Weight: 5oz, Net (drained) weight: 4oz.
Quantity: Approx 44,800 cases (24 Cans per case)
Fish Origin: Food company sources tuna from around the globe. The origin of the tuna could be determined by lot / day code, if necessary.
Kosher: The product is Kosher, but was not packed under inspection.
Product was packed during the first quarter of 2013 and the shelf life is about 3 years. Expiration date would be between the first quarter of 2016.
This product must be sold outside of the USA. EXPORT ONLY

Freight guidelines:
- The product will be packed in 20 ft containers. (containers provided by buyer)
- 4,480 ctns of 24’s per 20 ft FCL
- The product will be slip sheeted.
- There will be 224 Ctns. per slip sheet.
- Total cases would be 44,800 for the ten containers.
This product was involved in a recall due to alleged double seam defect. The food company developed an inspection protocol that was approved by the FDA. The re-inspected product is fit for human consumption and there are no health / safety concerns with the re-inspected product. The only reason that the re-inspected product cannot be sold in the USA or Canada is that the production codes cannot be removed from the cans without removing the protective coating from the metal.
Please note that a condition of sale is that the product must be sold outside of the USA and Canada and the product CANNOT be brought back to the USA or Canada. Prior to sale, the product will be subjected to the FDA approved inspection protocol. The product will be re-labeled, re-cased and palletized for export. Depending on the market, the manufacturer may have a label/ brand that could be used (depending on the country where the product will be sold). The product could also be labeled with the end customer’s label (Private Label). Manufacturer will assist with the labeling, shipping & export document requirements. Depending on the final country, the product may have a label declaration of Product of USA. Buyer’s bid must mention the final destination country.
Shelf life: CWW – 3 years
Seller Terms
- Salvex and the seller have the right to reject any and all offers.
- This product is sold AS IS, WHERE IS.
- Buyer is responsible for all taxes, duties, loading and freight charges.
- Seller does not offer any warranties or manufacturer warranties.
- Upon receipt of cleared funds, Seller will provide the Buyer a Release Order for item pick up. Title transfers from Seller to Buyer upon issuance of the Release Order.
- It is Buyer's responsibility to verify quantities and condition at the time of pick up. Once the product has been removed from Seller's location, there will be no adjustments based on quantity or condition.
