  • Shelf Life: 18 MONTHS (Product must be properly maintained at –5 degrees or less)
  • Packed in polyethylene bags in a cardboard container; the color of the polybag contrast with the color of the pepper. Each container is marked with Grasso Foods, Inc. name and plant location, the lot number, the date of pack, and cut and color of the pepper. The carton is closed by tape. Product must be shipped in a refrigerated truck and temperature maintained at –10 degrees or lower.

    a. Minor: Units that are cracked, have black spots or markings on the skin with a diameter less than 1/8” that do not extend into the flesh.
    b. Serious: Units that are crushed or broken, have excessively frayed edges or surfaces, insect damage, rot, or black spots or markings that extend into the flesh or have a diameter greater than 1/8”.
    c. Total Serious & minor: 14 Units per pound maximum
    Serious blemish: 8 Units per pound maximum
    d. Seeds: 10 per pound maximum
