    Quantity:234 Doors
    Condition:
Approximately forty-two doors were in a large stack on the ground in the storage yard. Most of the mounting brackets on the ends were bent. The door curtains were bent on the side edges. Half of the door cylinders were bent on the end. Five of the doors had the cylinder crushed and broken apart. One door has partially unrolled with the curtain bent and crushed.

The remainder of the doors were stacked and strapped to flatbed trailer number 369A with Louisiana license plate number E350725. The doors were stacked in six rows on the trailer and secured with cargo straps. Torn clear plastic sheeting was over the top of the first four rows of doors on the trailer. The condition of the doors on the trailer was as follows:

    • Row 1, starting at the front of the trailer. Forty doors stacked six high, wood in between each layer, no pallet. Five doors on one side of the stack were crushed and buckled on the side and end. Half of the doors had bent areas on the end of the curtain or cylinder.
    • Row 2, the metal rails were stacked on the trailer deck. Approximately ten percent of the rails were bent on the end. Thirty-five doors were stacked on top of the rails. Two of these doors were severely crushed on the end. The remainder of the doors appeared to be intact with minor bending at the ends.
    • Row 3, twenty-four doors stacked and stretch-wrapped on a pallet. The four doors on the bottom row on the pallet were crushed on one end. The other doors appeared to be in good condition.
    • Row 4, two pallets of doors stacked and stretch-wrapped to the pallets. The pallets were broken. There were seventeen doors on the pallet on the right, three doors on the top and five doors on the bottom of the stack were crushed on the ends. There were twenty-four doors on the pallet on the left side, eight doors were crushed and buckled at one end. The other doors had some bending on the ends and brackets.
    • Row 5, nineteen doors stacked loose and strapped to the trailer. Three doors were crushed at the ends. The end brackets were bent and the door curtains were bent on the ends of the remaining other doors.
    • Row 6, twenty-five doors stacked loose and strapped to the trailer. Two doors were crushed on one end and the end brackets were bent on the doors.
There appeared to be a significant amount of salvage of the 226 doors. The only visible rust was on the ends of the steel shafts and at some areas where the paint was gouged off the door curtains. The bent mounting brackets could be replaced. The doors with bending on the ends could be straightened and sold at a reduced price. The 37 doors that were crushed on the ends and the one door that was partially unrolled did not appear to be repairable, but may have salvageable parts.
