    Quantity:1 Unit
    Condition:
    Leadwell VMC
  • Doors have rollers from the bottom and brackets broken off
  • Switches (on to) are broken off & wires pulled out
  • Status light is broken off & wiring is pulled out
  • Table = appears to be Ok
  • Head appears to be Ok
  • Operators console = looks Ok but due to the multiple vibrations that it incurred, I would suspect that the CRT is damaged and needing replacement & the operators panel could possibly need to be replaced also.
  • Control are (in back of machine)
  • Main I/O panel is not secured (appears to have vibrated loose, bolts were laying on floor of cabinet)
  • This is a multi-layer board and probably need to replace it
  • The machine ATC counterbalance is separated from it’s chains and resting at the base of the column casting. The mount that was securing it to the top of the column was there, and the bolts that secured it to the counterbalance are nowhere to be seen (possibly under the counterbalance or on the road somewhere). It appears to have rode that way for awhile (it is off to one side of the casting and not centered) & it may have had some connection with the trucker and his blown tire.
  • There are broken off proximity switches with the wiring pulled out and laying on the floor of the machine.
  • Tool #2 of the ATC pocket retainer is missing.
  • Would have to closer inspect the way lube lines for the Z axis to properly verify that they are not damaged.
  • To replace the counterbalance chains, we would have to move the machine out from its present location & use a fork truck to lift the counterbalance and install the new chains. Not sure if there’s any damages to the counterbalances (ie cracked, etc) or the machine casting, but it appears that the threaded holes in the counterbalances are stripped out of it just before it fell.
  • The tool changer was not locked in position and was free floating, either because of a bracket that fell off or it wasn’t secured. (there is a power cable in the tool change mechanism that is damaged, and there are marks on the cover for the Z axis from the tool changer banging into it from shipping.
  • Overall the machine definitely took a very rough ride & the apparent physical damage is enough to surmise that there will definitely be other unforeseen damaged items. The wires that are pulled out of switches etc., are a concern. The I/O board should be replaced as should the CRT, front operators panel, status lights, counterbalance chains, and a few way lube orifices. There are countless bolts laying in the floor of the machining area.
