    The cargo was received at the storage terminal with physical damages sustained aboard the vessel in heavy weather. The lumber was shipped on deck and was most likely exposed to saltwater wetting. Most of the packing materials (plastic shrouds and banding) were damaged and though the lumber has been stored in a large pile since discharge on or about March 18, 2005. The lumber has also been exposed to rain and snow since discharge.

    The product arrived with damaged packing material and most of the product is exposed. Some bundles are still intact, but the loose material was discharged from tho vessel with nylon straps, which are not part of the bid, and must be returned to the terminal. Some bundles used as fencing (green ends) and four (4) bundles with red "X"s are located within and around the damaged material and are NOT included in the bid.

    This lot of framing lumber is available due to saltwater wetting while in transit and must be sold to recover funds for the insurance company.
  • The product consists of European spruce, Picea Abies, No. 2 and better, kiln dried to a maximum moisture content of 19% at the time of shipment.
  • 4 sides planed, with eased edges.
  • Manufacturer: Holzwerk Baur GmbH
  • 911 of the 1543 bundles were shipped to the consignee. Half of the remaining 632 bundles were lost or damaged. There are at least 100 +/- bundles in the pile. There are another 200 bundles of loose material estimated that are in there as well. 300 +/- bundles are up for sale.
