This lot of Frame-9 ALSTOM Gas Turbines (2 Units)  is no longer needed for the company's own operation & is being sold to recover funds. Details are listed below:

Background:

GT No: 8: Installed in the year 2000, was operational until end of 2007. Then the unit shut down normal and kept standby. Later, few spare parts had removed from this unit including cooling water radiator to install in the State Water & Electricity Authority GT units in another site. Currently, all removed parts including radiator assembly have been returned and installed in place.

GT No: 9: Installed in the year 2003, was operational until end of 2008. The unit shut down normal and kept standby.

In the year of 2008 onwards State Water & Electricity Autority did dot require power generation from these GT units, the Water & Electricity Autority decided to hand over to another State Water & Electricity Authority. Since then both GT units remained idle in the existing location. No preservation was done for the plants for long term shut down. Subsequently, stafff was withdrawn from the station, station supply disconnected, liquid fuel connections removed and disconnected the gas supply and removed gas fuel ESD valve. Units were idle for almost 8 years.

Operational and Maintenance History of the Units:

GT-8:

During the above operational period, two combustion inspections had been carried out an interval of 7000 operating hours and one hot gas path inspection carried out at 21660 hours. During HGPI, all the crossfire tubes, combustion liners, transition pieces, first and second stage nozzles, and first stage buckets were replaced.

GT-9:

During the above operational period, one combustion inspection had been carried out an interval of 7000 operating hours. Both units did not face any abnormal operational issues or breakdown maintenance.
