Living Quarters Modules.

  • Included are ten accommodation units each consisting of 4 single berth cabins with Wet Unit facilities and one Locker Unit catering for 40 personnel.

    Details:
  • Fully certified temporary accommodation containerized units.
  • The cabin configuration shall be Single cabin occupancy with associated locker room facilities for the full compliment of 40 personnel. Configured in 1 block complete with locker room.

    Layout/Dimensions
  • The following layout and dimensional criteria is applicable to the ALQ:
  • Module height should not exceed 3,5m, preferably be below 3,2m
  • Plot for modules approx. 13m x 13m – preferred entrances east and west side of modules positioned beneath the Heli Deck

  • Rated Bulkheads – A60
  • Cladding Method: Profile Plate with 3mm dia x 85mm long fixing pins stud welded on troughs at 300mm max horizontal and vertical centres.
  • A weld mesh 1 inch square pre-galvanised sheet secured with speed fix washers applied over studs.
  • A layer of 75mm thick “Rockwool Firebatt 2000” 100kg/m3 density applied over mesh. Aluminium Foil vapour barrier applied over insulation with all joints sealed using aluminium foil backed tape and all pin penetrations mastic sealed.
  • A layer of half inch hexagonal wire mesh insulation retainer placed over fixing pins and secured using speed fix washers. Joints in wire mesh lapped 50mm min over fixing pins.
  • Rated Roof / Frame – A60
  • Cladding Method: Roof Plate with 3mm dia x 85mm long fixing pins stud welded on troughs at 300mm max horizontal and vertical centres. 3mm dia x 35mm long fixing pins welded onto trapezoidal stiffeners at 300mm max vertical centres. 3mm dia x 60mm long fixing pins welded onto the inside face trapezoidal stiffeners at 300mm max vertical cenbtres. A layer of 75mm thick “Rockwool Firebatt 2000” 100kg/m3 density applied. Troughs packed with 50mm “Rockwool Firebatt 2000” 100kg/m3 density.     Cabin Modules
    External to the accommodation modules is a plant recess. Located within this plant recess are the 4 no. Condensing Units and the Pressurisation Fan Unit complete with external ductwork. The pressurization unit is mounted on a stainless steel subframe on anti-vibration mounts. The Stainless Steel supply ductwork rises and connects to the supply air penetration located near the top of the plant recess. At the internal side of the supply penetration is bolted an A60 fire damper, A60 Spool, ambient duct heater and then the distribution ductwork serving the four one man cabins. The ambient duct heater is designed to pre-heat the ambient air during heating periods and supply air at a temperature in the region of 16 deg C to the terminal re-heater units. Each cabin has a terminal re-heater unit complete with constant volume valve and perforated supply grille. The 500watt stab in heater mounted in the terminal unit is wired to a wall mounted thermostat to give the occupant individual control of the cabin temperature. During summer months if cooling is required the occupant in each cabin has a high level wall mounted split system air conditioning unit providing cool only operation. The ventilation supply to the module is 100% full fresh air providing ventilation for the occupants and pressurization to the module to provide an internal positive pressure with resect to atmosphere. Each cabin is served with fresh, filtered, tempered air that can be re-heated to suit the occupant. Air is transferred under the positive pressure to the high level transfer grille located between the cabin and cabin corridor. Each Cabin has a high level transfer system which incorporates a cross talk attenuator to prevent any noise transmission to and from the cabins. The cabin air when transferred to the corridor is extracted via the corridor extract grille. The toilet extract system serves both wet areas and also the cabin corridor and consists of a duct mounted inline centrifugal fan, attenuators, fire dampers, distribution ductwork and exhaust grilles. The entrance area of the module has a supply diffuser to maintain positive pressure with respect to atmosphere and is balanced with the extraction rate of the two wet units.

    Locker Module
    The locker module as with the accommodation module is served by 100% fresh air providing ventilation and odour removal for the occupants and positive pressure with respect to atmosphere. The Locker Module is served by a similar HVAC system to the accommodation modules but this time only two split system air conditioning systems are installed, but larger capacity than thoise installed in the cabins. The main duct mounted heater provides heating in winter with the temperature sensor located in the exhaust air to provide better temperature control for the whole space. The toilet extract system is similar in layout to the accommodation modules with duct mounted inline centrifugal fan, attenuators, fire dampers, distribution ductwork and exhaust grilles. There is a small extract valve fitted in the cleaners cupboard connect to the toilet extract system.
  • HVAC Control Panel
  • Each module has a basic HVAC control panel controlling the temperature control for ambient duct heater, fire dampers, heater interlocks and F&G interlock. The power for the pressurization fan and ambient duct heater are provided by switchboards located within the main Living Quarters Module. The HVAC panel only supplies enable / disable signals to the switchboard and does not have any 3 phase supplies within. The terminal re-heaters and toilet extract are fed directly from the ALQ distribution Boards and are not interlocked with the ALQ HVAC Control Panel.
